My name is Keondra [ kē - ôn- druh]! A millennial food enthusiast and homemade cook from the top cuff of the boot State -- Shreveport, Louisiana. I am the wife of the most handsome man and the mother of the most precious son! I have been making my way around the kitchen since I was 10 when my mother asked me to start the oven and put on a pot roast while she was at work.
From that time forward, learning to cook has been a favorite pass time that I came to enjoy and appreciate while spending time with my grandma and helping her in the kitchen. See, I really have Southern roots. One side of my family is Mississippi, where you have that good southern soul food, and the other from Louisiana, where the southern soul meets the cajun bold. So, all I know is food which is why I am beginning this platform!
In today's time with busy schedules consisting of long work days, mommy duties, wifely duties, and community interests, it can be challenging trying to make cooking a priority, but I'm here to help you find that balance. This space is created to encourage millennials to be savvy, innovative, and efficient in the kitchen -- be it to support a family, or simply yourself. So go ahead and Pop That Pantry! Let's get cooking!
